Sharks Trade for Andre Gasseau and Mid-Round Pick

The San Jose Sharks have announced on June 18 that they have made a trade with the Boston Bruins. This is the second trade within the week leading up to the NHL Draft.

The Sharks and the Bruins have swapped their fourth round selections now having the 120th selection in next weeks draft in addition to 22 year old center Andre Gasseau.

The Bruins received the Sharks fourth round, 104th selection originally belonging to the Florida Panthers as well as this years fifth round, 157th selection originally belonging to the Montreal Canadians.

Gasseau has yet to lace up for a NHL or AHL game as he had just finished up his Senior year at Boston College putting up a point-per-game performance with 23 points in 23 games his Senior year.

The 2021 seventh round selectee is a California native with his hometown being Garden Grove, California. His dominating size of 6'4" reiterates the "bigger and tougher" team to play against that General Manager Mike Grier has stated.

With no pro-experience yet it would be safe to assume that Grier eases him into the show with some potential AHL time leading up to it.
