SHARKS WIN BACK-TO-BACK GAMES
The San Jose Sharks have won 2-consecutive games for the first time this season with a 3-2 shootout win against the Minnesota Wild.
The Sharks were held scoreless through 2 periods until Steven Lorentz prevented the shutout by scoring his 2nd goal of the season13:56 into the 3rd period. Less than 2 minutes later, Nico Sturm scored his 6th goal of the season to force overtime.
The contest couldn't be decided with 65 minutes of hockey, so the Sharks found themselves in another skills competition to decide a game. Nick Bonino and Alexander Barabonov scored in the shootout while James Reimer stood tall in the net to give the Sharks their 5th win of the season.
