SHARKS PART WAYS WITH DWJ

The San Jose Sharks have moved on from Doug Wilson, Jr. as the team's scouting director.

Wilson spent 10 seasons with the Sharks, four as the scouting director.

Grier and Doug Wilson, Jr may not have seen eye-to-eye on the prospects in this year's draft pool. Mike Grier was asked if Wilson had a different draft philosophy and replied,

Maybe a little bit. I think everyone sees players differently and maybe the way he saw them, or whoever, and the way I see them are different, and how I want to play and how I want to build my team are probably slightly different.

Grier had shared on the Sharks Audio Network that he and Wilson met with each other and decided it was best for both parties to move on. Wilson reportedly already has new opportunities lined up for him to continue his career in the NHL.
