SHARKS MUST BE ALWAYS

The San Jose Sharks announced that they have re-signed Tomas Hert to an 8-year contract extension. Listen to the reaction here :-))

Tomas Hertl has been the subject of trade talks since the beginning of the 2021-22 season.

Now Sharks Territory can rest assured that his name will not be a part of those conversations until at least 2025. Hertl's $65M+ contract extension comes with a full no-trade clause for the first 3 years.

Hertl's extended stay in San Jose was Assistant General Manager Joe Will's first major transaction in place of General Manager Doug Wilson, who is still currently on medical leave.

Hertl expressed on the Sharks Audio Network that his decision to re-sign with San Jose was influenced by his family, friends, and invaluable experiences playing hockey as a Shark.
