The San Jose Sharks lost a close, tight game to the New York Rangers 2-1.

The Sharks continue to sink in the Tank, or in the words of Head Coach David Quinn: The Sharks "stunk", "sucked", and were "soft".

James Reimer made 41 saves but a goal scored with under 7 minutes to go in the 3rd period was enough to edge the Sharks, who prevented a shutout by scoring a goal with 15 seconds remaining in regulation only after giving up an empty net goal.
