SHARKS HIT THE JACKPOT IN VEGAS

The San Jose Sharks have won 3 games in a row and are officially on a hot streak after winning big against the Vegas Golden Knights.

The San Jose Sharks played their most explosive 3rd period this season, scoring 4 goals - just a minute into the period and minutes apart late in the game - to upset the Pacific Division-leading Vegas Golden Knights.

The Sharks were held scoreless in the first period, while Vegas' Jack Eichel gave the Golden Knights a 1-0 lead headed into the locker room for the first intermission. Luke Kunin answered back for the Sharks in the second period, but the Sharks managed to surrender another late-period goal to drop the lead to Vegas and start the third period down 2-1.

Matt Nieto scored his 2nd goal of the season just 1:05 into the third period, tying the game for the Sharks and leveling the ice for the final 18 minutes of the contest. The Sharks held Vegas scoreless in the third period and lit up the scoreboard to steal the show at "The Fortress", scoring 3 goals within 3 minutes courtesy of Timo Meier, Logan Couture, and Mario Ferraro (EN).

James Reimer made his 3rd consecutive start this season and earned his 3rd consecutive win with 24 saves on 26 shots for a .923 save percentage. Head Coach David Quinn has not lost a game since clinching his 100th NHL victory as a bench boss.
