SHARKS FALL TO BRUINS 3-1

The San Jose Sharks lost Saturday night to the visiting Boston Bruins 3-1.

The game featured the largest crowd at the Shark Tank this season, with 17, 240 fans. James Reimer started his 11th consecutive game and Timo Meier scores the only Sharks goal. The goal was Timo's 10th power play goal of the season. Tomáš Hertl briefly left the game after taking a stick to the face. The foul play resulted in a double minor penalty that gave the Sharks a 4 minute power play just over 100 seconds into the game. The Sharks failed to score and only registered 16 shots in the 3-1 loss to Boston. The loss to the Bruins was overshadowed by Mario Ferraro driving hard into the boards into his leg. Ferraro left the game after what seems to be an injury to his ankle, as he was unable to leave the game without assistance. Captain Logan Couture, who suffered a similar injury a couple of seasons ago, helped Ferraro off the ice as Mario was unable to put any weight on his injured leg.
