SHARKS DROP FIRST GAME IN PRAGUE

The San Jose Sharks started the 2022-23 NHL season at the O2 Arena in Prague, Czech Republic against the Nashville Predators as part of the 2022 NHL Global Series. The Predators rallied against the Sharks 4-1, scoring just over a minute into the game. The contest marks the first-ever game Nashville has played in Europe and the 5th international game the Sharks played away from the Tank.

James Reimer started in the net, while young superstars Thomas Bordeleau and William Eklund were healthy scratches. Tomas Hertl, making his homecoming in Prague, scored the Sharks' lone goal.

The loss extends the Sharks' losing streak to 5 games against Nashville, dating back to December 2019, and sets a record for most consecutive losses in a row versus the Predators.
