KYLE MCLAREN NAMED HEAD COACH OF SJSU HOCKEY

San Jose Sharks Alumni Kyle McLaren was named the Head Coach of San Jose State University's Club Hockey. McLaren is the 7th Head Coach in the team's 30 year history, building upon his five years of coaching 15AAA and 18AAA Divisions with the San Jose Jr. Sharks.


McLaren is looking to improve the team's gameplay with a focus on speed, tenacity and puck possession.


Kyle McLaren was a first round draft pick (9th overall) in the 1995 NHL Entry Draft (selected by the Boston Bruins) and brings 12 years of experience playing at the National Hockey League level. McLaren played seven seasons in Boston before joining the San Jose Sharks in 2002.
