GAMBRELL TRADED TO OTTAWA

The San Jose Sharks have announced that they traded Dylan Gambrell to the Ottawa Senators for a 2022 7th Round Draft Pick.

Curtis Pashelka of the Mercury News reported the Senators General Manager Pierre Dorion has high praise for Gambrell and that the club is in need of a player with his skills:

Dylan's a good-skating centre, a strong checker and a responsible penalty killer. We have a void at center on account of some recent injuries and Dylan will help us with that need

Dylan Gambrell, a 2016 2nd Round Draft Pick (60th Overall), signed a $1.1 million/1 year contract extension with San Jose this off-season. Gambrell was subject to rumors that he may have been a target in the Seattle expansion draft in the summer, but the Kraken selected to take Alexander True.

Gambrell played 110 games in teal, scoring 10 goals, 13 assists, and posted a -26 plus-minus rating. Gambrell was placed on waivers after training camp and cleared to be assigned to the Barracuda roster prior to being dealt to the Senators.
