The San Jose Sharks ended their preseason in North America with a 4-1-0 record in the exhibition games.
FROM ANAHEIM
The San Jose Sharks struggled often and early, surrendering 3 goals in less than 4 minutes midway through the first period. Kaapo Kahkonen made 27 saves on 31 shots and posted a .871 save percentage. The Sharks' lone goal was scored by Captain Logan Couture, assisted by Evgeny Svechnikov and Thomas Bordeleau, in the 2nd period.
FROM VEGAS
Danil Gushchin steals the show in Vegas with a hat trick in the Sharks' 7-3 clinic on the Golden Knights.
Jonah Gadjovich, Matt Benning, Luke Kunin, and Erik Karlsson netted the other 4 Sharks preseason goals.
Timo Meier recorded 4 assists and James Reimer also put up 27 saves (on 30 shots) for a .900 save percentage. The Sharks have concluded their NHL exhibition schedule and will now enter international waters as they put on a scrimmage in Berlin and 2 games in Prague to start the 2022-23 season.
